When the image boots on the new computer for the first time when you open office it will prompt for a new key. Then you can edit out the product key information from registry in the image.įor 64-bit the key is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Registration all you need to do is delete the whole "Registration" key or rename it to "Registration.old" I just renamed mine.įor 32-bit the key is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Registration You would need at least 1 volume license as Justin said. However this would work somewhat like windows does. I actually just got done creating some images. This would only be possible if you were using a volume license version
